Sleep is something that we all should make time for in our busy lives. Although it may not be easy to come by, it has been proven to help keep us healthy, happy and make us more efficient in our daily tasks. Make sure you are getting the most out of your snooze, sleep 7-9 hours each night, including the weekends!

Q: As a college student, what kind of mattress topper is best for a college budget? The mattresses here are insufferable.

A: I have purchased one from Wal-Mart that was a Sealy brand and it was excellent. I recommend checking Wal-Mart for a Sealy brand mattress topper. It was at great price and my guests who slept on the bed were very satisfied.

Q: What is your favorite Tempur-Pedic mattress? How do you feel about the new Octaspring mattress? I’m also a mattress wrangler, every mattress you’ve seen, I’ve picked up over my shoulders.

A: Awesome! It’s always great talking to a fellow willing worker! My favorite Tempur-Pedic is the Cloud Luxe Breeze. And I’ve been really impressed with how durable the Dormeo Octaspring is. We have had a minimal number of complaints or returns.

Q: How can I change my sleeping routine? I want to get up at 5 am and be fit for training.

A: I recommend that you set a time that you will go to sleep every night that allows you 8 hours of sleep (9:00PM or earlier) and stick to that routine no matter what. That will give you plenty of rest and should put you in a good position to exercise, be well and start your day. Thanks so much, good luck with training!

Q: How can I get my dad to stop snoring?

A: An adjustable bed is very helpful in this regard. An adjustable bed that is tilted up at least 10 degrees does a great job at alleviating snoring. I would highly advise one if possible. Thank you!

Setting a bedtime alarm will keep you from getting so distracted that you end up staying up too late. Always aim to go to bed and wake up at the same time, including the weekends.
